Get Stains Off My Fingers From Smoking

Smokers commonly have nicotine-stained fingers.

One telltale sign of a frequent smoker is nicotine-stained fingers. These stains appear on the skin of the fingers that hold the cigarettes and can be very difficult to remove completely. As it takes a long time to develop these stains, it will also take time and patience to remove them. Nicotine stains can be gradually removed from the skin with all-natural products that you will find in your local grocery store.

Instructions

1. Slice a fresh lemon into quarters and squeeze the juice into a small bowl. Dip the stained fingers in the bowl and use your opposite hand to massage the juice thoroughly into the skin. Do this for at least one minute.

2. Rub the stained skin with a pumice stone after treating with lemon juice. The pumice stone will work to exfoliate the skin and remove some of the stains. If you don't own a pumice stone, mixing salt with the lemon juice and using it to scrub the skin will also suffice.

3. Apply moisturizer to your hands after scrubbing with the pumice stone or salt. The treatment can be irritating to the skin and moisturizer will help alleviate any discomfort.

4. Repeat the process at least once per week. You should notice the stains fading as time goes by, and the treatment can be stopped once the stains have disappeared completely.
