Quit Smoking Using Hypnotherapy

Hypnotism is a powerful self-help tool that enables people to regain their original status in life as a non-smoker. Smoking is directly linked to many diseases including lung and mouth cancer, emphysema, heart disease and is a hazard to the unborn and non-smokers. The best way to stop smoking is to first be hypnotized by a professional who will teach you self-hypnosis to reinforce your motivation.

Instructions

Stop Smoking Using Hypnotism

1. Schedule an appointment with a reputable, trained hypnotist. She will explain the procedures and guide you into a relaxed, focused state of hypnosis.

During your initial consultation, you will be guided into a place of inner quiet and total focus where you listen intently to the professional's voice and instructions. Hypnotists use various techniques to bring about this state of focused relaxation, and each professional uses their most successful method with their clients.

2. Take several deep breaths, allowing your muscles to relax and become free of tension. Counting backwards, close your eyes and focus on how good it feels to become free of stress and anxiety. Your hypnotist may wake you from time to time then lead you back into deeper hypnotic levels. You are not "asleep" at all, but extremely relaxed, focused and emotionally attached to your goal to stop smoking. Your hypnotist will give you commands to enable you to stop smoking and become a non-smoker, as you were when you were born.

3. Learn to do self-hypnosis which will reinforce your professional's instructions. If you are using a CD, follow the directions as given on the recording. Allocate the amount of time recommended by your hypnotist in order to obtain maximum benefits from self-hypnosis. You may use a recording or learn to quickly enter your place of hypnotic sleep through a simple process. It need not be lengthy. A few minutes each day strongly reinforces your will to live as a non-smoker.

4. When you are deeply relaxed and focused, recite a series of affirming statements such as, "I was born a non-smoker, therefore that's my natural state. Non-smoker's never smoke. My body accepts its natural status as a non-smoker. I easily cleanse my body of the unhealthy effects of cigarette smoking. I readily revert to living as one who never smokes."

These statements should accentuate the positive aspects of quitting smoking.

5. Awaken slowly and enjoy your regained status as a non-smoker. Each time you use these techniques, you find greater determination and strength to attain this important goal. Schedule follow-up appointments with your professional to maintain your new life as a non-smoker.
