Benzos or benzodiazepines are pharmaceutical medications used to treat sleeping disorders such as insomnia. There are innumerable side effects of this drug including memory loss, trembling, nightmares, rapid heartbeat, depression and weakness. Like all medications, benzodiazepines are processed inside your liver to be eliminated later by your body. By employing all the methods below, you can effectively clean out the remnants of benzodiazepines from your body.


Instructions


1. Consume three liters of water every day. You can help your liver and kidneys eliminate the remnants of benzodiazepines by drinking this much water. Water is also beneficial for increasing your metabolism and strengthening all the cells in your body. Avoid drinking tap or fountain water, since these might contain harmful contaminants. Drink bottled mineral water or filtered water instead.

3. Drink non-concentrated cranberry juice daily. Cranberries include a compound called tanning which can aid your kidneys and liver flush out the remnants of benzodiazepines and other toxins. Cranberries can also help eliminate cholesterol from your blood. Avoid concentrated or sweetened cranberry juice, since these contain high amounts of sugar.


4. Consume foods high in fiber. When you take medications such as benzodiazepines, your liver processes them and transports the remnants to your digestive tract. When your digestive tract contains a sufficient amount of fiber, the drug remnants directly bind to the fiber and are flushed out when you defecate. If your digestive tract lacks fiber, the remnants get absorbed back into your blood and your liver becomes overworked since it has process them all over again. Foods high in fiber include raspberries, whole grains, fava beans and barley.


5. Perform high-impact aerobic exercises for at least one hour a day. These kinds of exercises can help you sweat more allowing you to eliminate the remnants of benzodiazepines. Exercising can also help your digestive system eliminate them as well.
