Clean A House Of Tobacco Smoke

Eradicte cigarette smoke from a house with a few tips and tricks.

Nothing ruins the excitement of moving into a new home as the lingering odor of cigarette smoke. In some cases, the smell can be so distasteful that new tenants immediately change their minds and move out. Don't let the smell of cigarette smoke dampen your excitement about a new living situation. It is possible to remove cigarette smoke odors, and fortunately you can probably do it all by yourself.

Instructions

1. Fill the bowls with vinegar or ammonia and allow to sit in the rooms with cigarette smoke odor. Place up to three bowls in each room.

2. Saturate the damp sponge in all-purpose cleaner and wipe the walls and ceilings of the rooms where the cigarette smoke has been. Rinse the sponge and repeat until no nicotine comes off on the sponge.

3. Sprinkle baking soda on all of the carpets with cigarette odor. Allow the baking soda to sit on the carpets for at least an hour.

4. Vacuum up the baking soda. Repeat if the cigarette odor still remains in the carpet.

5. Vacuum all hard flooring.

6. Mop hard flooring with all-purpose cleaner. Rinse the mop and repeat. Continue to mop with the all-pupose cleaner until the mop does not remove any more nicotine residue.
