Select A Cigarette Brand

If you're thinking of picking up smoking, don't. If you are a smoker, think about quitting. But if you're looking to choose a new brand to smoke, there are a few considerations before making a switch. Cigarettes typically come in full flavor, light, ultra light and menthol, and also come in short lengths, regular, "100's" or longs, and also "wide." Most major brands carry a few options in each of these areas.

Instructions

1. Go to your local smoke shop. Smoke shops sell all of the brands that the gas stations do, as well as many others you've never heard of. Most smoke shop salespeople are extremely knowledgeable about every brand and style of cigarette, and would love to help you find your new brand. Most will also let you try many new brands for free, right in the store.

2. Know your leaf. Learn more about types of tobacco, the major brands and the differences and similarities among them. This will help you to sort out what you like, and maybe what you don't like. Much like learning to appreciate wine, tobacco has many variations and subtle differences that make one type or another distinctive.

3. Hop online and contact various cigarette companies. Most will mail you coupons or even free samples of their product. You can also look up their entire product lines online and learn more about the brand itself.

4. Try new brands often, and keep at it until you find one or two that you really enjoy smoking. For some smokers, their favorite brand changes over time, or even seasonally. For others, every other cigarette, even made by the same brand, tastes awful to them.

5. Refuse to choose. Variety is the spice of life, and nobody ever said that you had to smoke only one brand of cigarettes-except maybe the tobacco companies. Smoke a new brand every day, or more than one at a time. Consider buying a more expensive import for special occasions or trying loose tobacco.
