Stop Gum In Class

Blowing bubbles can be distracting to others.

Gum-chewing is often prohibited in schools. The chewing and popping sounds can be distracting and annoying, and gum is often discarded under desks or chairs where it hardens and can be difficult to remove. If your school prohibits gum-chewing, it may be tempting to chew anyway, but you'll be better off taking steps to avoid temptation.

Instructions

1. Leave chewing gum at home or keep it in your locker to avoid reaching for a piece of gum during class.

2. Hard candies come in a wide variety of flavors.

Eat a piece of hard candy occasionally. It will provide long-lasting taste without being disruptive.

3. Gradually cut down on the number of pieces of gum you chew each day if you have a hard time avoiding gum during school hours.

4. Wear a rubber band on your wrist. Snap your wrist when you feel tempted to reach for a piece of gum during school.
