Obvious The Lung area Of Fireside And Smoke

Breathing in smoke from a fire can cause both short-term and long-term damage to the lungs. Every effort should be made to keep the lungs clear of smoke. There are a number of procedures that you can do to keep your lungs clear from the chemicals and other negative effects of fire and smoke. These should be done as soon as possible to minimize the effects that can be brought on by the fire and smoke.

Instructions

1. Drink large amounts of caffeinated or decaffeinated hot tea to stimulate the cilia in the chest to beat upwards and drive the unwanted smoke byproducts from your lungs into the throat.

2. Drink a lot of chicken soup, which will stimulate the cilia in the chest to remove the smoke byproducts from the lungs.

3. Use a nasal moistener spray that does not contain benzalkonium and is mercury preservative-free. Follow the directions on the package to properly use the nasal moistener spray.

4. Wash your nasal passages and sinuses with a saline solution of a half teaspoon of salt, a quarter teaspoon of baking soda, and 8 ounces of water. Sniff the mixture in and out of the nose until the liquid coming out is clear.

5. Breathe through a wet mask when going outside, and keep windows of the house and car closed to lessen the impact of the fire and smoke.
