About Duromine

Duromine is a weight loss medication that works by suppressing the appetite. It is taken in the form of a pill and contains the active ingredient phentermine. The active ingredient combines with a type of resin in order to produce a release that is slow and works to extend Duromine's effects. It is suggested that Duromine be used alongside a regular exercise routine and healthy diet.


Candidates


Duromine is an appropriate weight loss medication for individuals who are classified medically as being obese or at least very overweight. People with a body mass index (BMI) of over 27 are candidates, are are people who deal with weight-related ailments such as high blood pressure (hypertension), diabetes and high cholesterol levels.


Function


Duromine functions by suppressing the appetite. It lessens the desire for food because the active chemical component (phentermine) affects areas of the central nervous system. Phentermine is very similar to amphetamine (a type of psychostimulant drug), and as a result sometimes leads to increased energy levels.


Common Side Effects


There are some side effects that are commonly associated with use of this weight loss medication. Some of these side effects include headache, sleeplessness, restlessness, feelings of euphoria, exhaustion, weakness, feeling lightheaded, raised blood pressure, sex drive changes, impotence, dry mouth, dysphoria (uncomfortable mood), constipation, diarrhea, breathing difficulty, and swelling of the ankles.


Taking Duromine


Duromine should be taken once a day. It is recommended that Duromine be taken either before breakfast or within two hours of it. It is also recommended that Duromine be taken early in the day. This is due to the fact that taking it can sometimes result in energy boosts and insomnia problems.


Overdose


Overdosing on Duromine can be extremely harmful and dangerous. This is why it is vital for people to consult their physicians on their appropriate dosage amount, whether it is 15, 30 or 40 mg. Signs of Duromine overdose include hallucinations, panic attacks, depression, extreme exhaustion, arrhythmia (irregular heart rate), disorientation, confusion, tremors, throwing up, abdominal aches, high or low blood pressure and higher breathing rate.
