The Very Best Products To Combat Tobacco Smoke

If you or someone you know smokes, it can be difficult to remove the unpleasant odor from your surrounding environment.

The odor of cigarette smoke is foul and lingering. Additionally, second-hand smoke has been proven to be nearly as dangerous to nonsmokers as if they had picked up a cigarette themselves. To get rid of the smoke and associated scent, there are a few devices on the market that both smokers and nonsmokers can use.

Electronic Cigarettes

A smoker himself can help to combat cigarette smoke by switching from tobacco-based cigarettes to electronic cigarettes. Electronic cigarettes deliver a hit of nicotine without releasing the smoke and odor associated with cigarettes into the air. They are composed of an optional amount of nicotine, propylene glycol, glycerin, flavor essence and distilled water.

Air Purifiers and Filters

Air purifiers can eliminate the odor of cigarette and cigar smoke, but are ineffective when it comes to actually getting rid of smoke particles in the air. There are specific filters, though, that can be fitted to a purifier to eliminate said particles. SmokeStop and HEPA filters are two such filters that are fitted to specific purifiers to remove smoke particles.

Air Fresheners

While air fresheners don't remove smoke particles from the air, they do mask the odor. Air fresheners come in the form of sprays, candles, powders and plug-ins. They also come in different scents, such as floral or tropical. Air fresheners provide a pleasant odor to mask the smoke scent for a short period of time.
