Clean The Joye Atomizer

The Joye atomizer serves as a cigarette replacement and comes in a variety of flavors and nicotine strengths.

The Joye atomizer serves as a tobacco replacement for smokers. Also known as an e-cigarette or e-smoke, the device provides a small amount of nicotine, which when inhaled, simulates smoking a real cigarette or cigar. The Joye atomizer uses an electronic switch to heat a small amount of liquid nicotine. The hot nicotine turns into a vapor, which the user inhales as often as desired. Joye atomizers usually only last two to six weeks, according to the manufacturer. Regular cleaning can help extend the life of the atomizer.

Instructions

1. Open the small battery case on the atomizer and remove the battery. Wet some tissues with purified alcohol and clean the battery contacts on the atomizer and the battery connection leads. This insures the electrical leads make full contact.

2. Clean any visible e-juice from the inside of the atomizer. Use tissues and alcohol to wipe the inside thoroughly. To clear the atomizer, hold the contact side of the atomizer to your lips and blow hard through it. Use tissues and alcohol to clean any e-juice that exits the other end of the atomizer.

3. Rinse the filler material. Remove the filler material from the mouthpiece cartridge and rinse it with warm water under a faucet. Dry the filler material with clean tissues, patting it until all moisture has been removed. Place the filler in the mouthpiece. Add 3 drops of hot water to the filler material. Take several pulls on the mouthpiece, but do not inhale. If the filler material remains brown, repeat the cleaning process until the filler remains clear, showing no residue.

4. If no vapor appears after activation, you can attempt to burn off residue. Use this method as a last resort if you suspect the atomizer does not function at all because it can destroy the unit. Using a fully charged battery, press the manual switch button and hold it for no more than 10 seconds. Listen closely for a sizzling sound coming from the atomizer -- it means the heating element is working. Try inhaling normally, and look for an increase in vapor and an easier pull.
