Clean Gold Teeth

Dentists have used gold for crowns (or "caps") on teeth since the 18th century because of the metal's malleable qualities. However, in today's hip-hop culture, removable gold teeth or "grills" have become very popular and are used as a status symbol. This new trend requires special cleaning care, as the gold can tarnish and lose its shine. Also, it is important to use only nontoxic products, as the grills will be worn in the mouth. Follow these simple steps to keep your grills shiny and clean.

Instructions

Clean Removable Golden Grills

1. Place your golden grills into a small bowl. Pour enough warm water into the bowl to cover the grills completely.

2. Mix one or two tbsp. of nontoxic liquid dish detergent with the warm water. Allow the grills to soak for up to five minutes.

3. Remove the grills from the mixture and dip an eyebrow brush into the liquid. Gently scrub the grills with the eyebrow brush until they appear polished to your liking.

4. Rinse the grills thoroughly and allow them to air dry in a drainer or on a clean surface.

5. Once the teeth are dried, you can pop them in and rock this fashionable hip hop look.
